Our story
Disobedient Designs was born from a journey of passion, persistence, and paint-splattered denim.
After graduating from fashion school, I wasn’t sure what direction to take. I explored every corner of the fashion world — cutting patterns, hand-placing pearls on wedding dresses, working with a jewelry designer, selling hot press t-shirts, and spending time in countless clothing stores. What I learned along the way? I love the craft behind fashion — the hands-on magic, the details, the stories told through texture, color, and bold expression. That love turned into creating custom heat press tees and painting on denim jackets. I even had a little store for a while, but like many, the pandemic brought unexpected changes and we had to close. Still, I never stopped designing. I kept painting jackets for people who knew my work and believed in it — quiet, one-of-a-kind pieces made with heart. Then in 2024, while remodeling my house, I found one of the first jackets I ever made. I had saved it as a memory, a reminder of that fearless, creative version of me. I started wearing it again, and people noticed — complimenting it, asking about it, reminding me that what I had created still had a voice. That jacket reignited something in me. So here I am — making a website for the first time and stepping into this new chapter. Honestly? I'm freaking out a little! I know how to sell face-to-face, but online feels like a whole new universe. Still, I'm embracing the challenge. Disobedient Designs is more than just jackets — it’s about bold statements, rebellion in style, and wearable art that speaks. I’ll be posting my pieces little by little, each one handcrafted and full of attitude. Thanks for being here from the start 💥
